About Me

I am a yoga instructor, massage therapist, and essential oil enthusiast dedicated to creating safe space for students and patients to explore and connect to body, mind & spirit. I am passionate about educating yoga practitioners, teachers, movers, and shakers of all kinds about mindful movement, conscious awareness, and natural medicine. My classes and bodywork sessions are energetic, lighthearted, and always customized for the individual needs of the students or patients.

I trained at St. Louis Academy of Dance from elementary through high school where I was also a member of their professional performing company Pazazz Performers. My love of dance and movement brought me to Chicago where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Arts Management at Columbia College Chicago in 2014.

I became certified in Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2014 through CorePower Yoga and jumped right in to teaching yoga full time. In the spring of 2015 I became the Yoga & Fitness Program Coordinator of McFetridge Yoga & Fitness Studio, a small community-based studio within McFetridge Sports Center. Here I was able to combine my love of movement and management in a space that was always so welcoming, warm, and fulfilling.

In the fall of 2015 I was invited to join the teacher training team at CorePower Yoga in Hyde Park and since have helped lead & coach over a dozen 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher Trainings and 50-hour continuing education programs. Helping teach yoga teachers how to teach is a completely different platform to share yoga and this helped me learn so much about myself, my teaching, and the practice.

Feeling inspired to continue my studies and training in movement and bodywork I traveled to Bali, Indonesia in the spring of 2016 for a week long immersion into Thai Massage, Yoga, Qi Gong, and Fascial Release.

After this experience I knew I needed to explore bodywork and massage therapy on a more in-depth level. On a bit of a whim I enrolled in a year long Massage Therapy & Asian Bodywork certificate course at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2018. Here I studied both Eastern and Western massage modalities including Swedish & Clinical Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Tui Na, Cupping & Gua Sha, Thai Massage, Craniosacral Work, and Aromatherapy. The same year I also became Reiki Level 1 Certified.

For several months I worked for Balanced Flow Wellness, and integrative wellness clinic, where I was a Massage Therapist and PT Assistant. I helped patients recover from injury and chronic pain through soft tissue work, PNF Stretching, individualized exercise progressions, yoga, cupping, and Factor Tool scraping.

Now all of my teaching and services are informed by a variety of modalities with the hope that my students and patients are able to regulate into a state of conscious self-awareness and equilibrium.
